Welcome to Saint Joseph School Extended Day Program (EDP) for all students from preschool – 8th grade.
We are excited to have the opportunity to serve you and your children.  From 2:15 pm – 6:00 pm, your child can participate in a number of activities and receive homework help.  We want to offer structure and variety in our EDP, therefore our program will be organized by having rotating stations to include homework, crafts, sports, baking and much more.  The EDP is more than just an after school program. It’s a loving, fun place for your child to come to after a long day at school.  When your child arrives at the EDP, they are greeted with the same staff every day and a warm smile.  In addition to great after school care, EDP offers many after school clubs throughout the school year such as cooking, baking, sports, and more!

An Extended Day Program (EDP) is available until 6:00 pm daily, and may be used, as needed, at an hourly rate of $12.00.
Early drop-off is also available in the morning, beginning at 7:00 am, for an additional fee of $5.00 per day.
There will be a $25.00 late fee for students picked up after 6:00 pm.

Please send with your child:

  • Healthy snack(s)
  • A refillable water bottle
  • Sneakers
  • Lunch from home (half-days)

Preschool and Kindergarten:  Please send in an extra change of clothes that we may keep at the EDP.

Our Electronics Policy:

  • Students in grades preschool – 4th grade may not bring in or use their electronics or game devices of any kind.
  • Students 5th – 8th Grade may use either their laptops or iPads for homework only and will be under the supervision of an EDP staff member.
  • Cell phones are not allowed to be used unless the student needs to call their parents.  They will need permission from the director of EDP for cell phone use.

Absolutely no social media or online gaming is permitted at the EDP.  If a student is misusing their device, EDP reserves the right to keep the device safe until the parent is able to come pick it up.

Pick-up policy:
All students who are not picked up at school by 2:15 pm (11:30 am half-days) will be sent to EDP where they will be checked in. Please do not take your child from the EDP unless you check out with the adult that is in charge.
The EDP is billed on a Monday through Friday basis.  Bills will be emailed every Monday.  Payment is expected no later than the following Monday.  Late payment will result in a $10.00 charge per billing cycle. Please make your checks payable to Saint Joseph School.

***The EDP is a cell phone free zone. Please finish up your calls before you enter the café to pick up your child.

The summer program at Saint Joseph School is designed to provide children with an experience that is both fun and educational at the same time. It is offered to parents seeking structure and supervision for their children during the summer vacation, and it is open to all children from preschool through grade 2.

The program will run from Monday, June 24th through Friday, August 9th, from 8:00am-2:00pm.
** Please note the program will be closed on July 4th and 5th.

** Children must be picked up by 2:00pm daily. There will be an additional charge assessed for children who are picked up late. The Extended Day Program will run from 2:00pm-4:30pm (unless they are attending extended day, then late fees would be charged after 4:30pm).
** Parents are responsible for providing one (1) daily snack, lunch, and drinks.

The summer program will be comprised of weekly sessions and each week will be based on a theme. During each week, the children will participate in crafts, physical activities and learning activities all based on the theme of the week. These activities are designed to encourage the development of your child’s emerging skills socially, emotionally, physically and artistically. This is done through play, imagination and exploration, indoors, and outdoors, in both large and small groups.

The goals of our summer program are:

  • To help to make learning a year-round experience by providing a program that is both educational and recreational.
  • To enable children to experience learning and recreation together in ways that will promote positive self-esteem and problem solving.
  • To offer a quality educational, recreational, and cultural experience that is consistent with the goals,
objectives and mission of Saint Joseph School.

Safety:
No student will be allowed to leave the program until a parent, guardian, or registered pickup person signs the student out with a member of the staff. Parties should be prepared to present photo ID, if requested.

Discipline:
Each student is expected to behave in the same manner as during the regular school year. Our summer Program will follow the same rules and procedures that are found in the Saint Joseph School Parent/Student Handbook. Students are expected to always be respectful to the staff and other students. They are also expected to respect all school property and to abide by school rules and policies.
