Accreditation
Saint Joseph School was awarded a 10-year renewal of accreditation in February 2020 by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. This accreditation followed an extensive two-year self-study of all aspects of our school, including mission, health and safety, governance, academics, and student experience. We are proud to have met and passed every standard for accreditation! Furthermore, we are fortunate to have been commended in many areas:
“The Commission commends the entire school community for its commitment to the education and nurturing of its students. In addition, the Commission commends the School for welcoming its racially, culturally, geographically, religiously, academically, and socioeconomically diverse student population.”
Testimonials
While virtual learning wasn’t ideal, it is the hand we are dealt this semester. My daughter’s school, St. Joseph School, Medford, had a platform for learning the Monday after school closures. Not only did she learn what a 3rd grader needs to learn, she gained technology skills. Google classroom, Flipgrid, and Zoom were utilized. It was an added bonus that her awesome teacher recreated her classroom “rug” by reading to the kids on Instagram! Again, nothing replaces classroom learning and socializing, but if you are looking for small class sizes and great teachers, consider St. Joseph’s School in Medford.
We have seven children who have attended St. Joseph School and, over the years, have come to view the faculty and administrators as family. The Catholic education and friendships our kids experienced speak volumes to an environment that helps students thrive at the high school and college level. We give St. Joe’s our highest endorsement.
Our girls both attend Saint Joseph School, and we couldn’t be happier. Not only are they challenged and nourished academically, but they are thought to invoke and resonate peace, love, and kindness. In this world of uncertainty, it is our one haven of hope for what our future brings.
My two daughters are now the third generation of my family to attend St. Joseph School. The lessons they are learning can’t just be found in a book. We are lucky and proud to be a part of this amazing school & community.
We wanted an environment that would challenge our children mentally & spiritually. ECLC class structure is engaging and informative. They build on the Christian values we instill as parents. We are never left in the dark and feel completely safe leaving our children there. They look forward to going to school everyday to learn and be with their friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better environment for our children.
St. Joseph School is more than just a wonderful school, it is a community. Everyone is treated like family. The faculty and staff dedicate their time to making a safe, secure, and thriving atmosphere for our children to learn. We feel very fortunate to have given our two girls the gift of starting off their academic lives at St. Joseph School. Because of this, we are confident they have gained the skills and experiences that they will continue to use far beyond the classroom walls — self-confidence, a strong sense of community, creative thinking and problem-solving, a passion for exploring their personal interests, and more.
St. Joe’s has been a part of my family’s education since the 1950’s when my father and uncle attended. Since then, I graduated in 1994, as did two of my cousins. When deciding where to send our daughter, there was no question that we wanted to carry on the tradition of an exceptional Catholic education, and a culture of respect and community. Next year we are excited to have our son also join the St. Joseph’s family. St. Joseph’s helped to cultivate friendships that I have held onto for 35+ years, and I do not think this would have happened if it was not for the nurturing environment that the school provided. St. Joseph’s is a special place that cannot be taken for granted.
Our family was a part of St. Joseph school for nearly three years before relocating. During that time, our son attended Pre-K 1, 2 and part of kindergarten. We chose St. Joseph because we wanted our son to have an educational experience that was also grounded in religious instruction. We received all that and more. The teachers are incredibly kind and dedicated to the children they teach, and the school community is active and welcoming. We are so appreciative of how far our son progressed in his academics during his time here, and we can think of no better place where we could have sent him.
St. Joseph School is known for its strong academic program. The school provides a well-rounded
education that focuses on core subjects such as math, science, language arts and social studies. The dedicated teachers and small class sizes allow for individualized attention and support, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education. I have seen growth every year through MAP testing scores and the knowledge that my boys share with me every day. The teachers are amazing! I applaud them for all their hard work and dedication.
