We use the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core Standards as the basis of our curriculum. We review the curriculum on a continual basis.

For students who need additional academic support, a special education consultation and student support team assists faculty in differentiating instruction for all learners.

At Saint Joseph School, we employ a guidance counselor to help those students who need help with their social and emotional well-being and who are planning to attend private high school. Our teachers are compassionate and are always considering their students’ overall well-being.

Finally, our Catholic identity allows us to support our students’ spiritual growth and development on a daily basis inside of each classroom. We respect our students’ diverse backgrounds, and we strive to make our community one where each child can develop self-confidence, respect towards others, a love of learning, and a love of God.

Our small class sizes allow each child to receive individual and differentiated instruction to meet each child’s ability and needs.
Our teachers and staff are educated, compassionate, and thoughtful in all areas. We believe that all children can and should learn. Lesson plans are created with individual children in mind. We respect our students’ diverse backgrounds, and we strive to make our community one where each child can develop self-confidence, respect towards others, and a love of learning. Teachers tailor instruction and assessment based on the current understanding of educational theory.

“SJS enriched my knowledge of Catholicism and helped me to achieve my academic goals.”

St. Joseph School prepares students to thrive in top high schools in the Boston area:

We are proud to say that several St. Joseph alumni have been named valedictorian or salutatorian at different area high schools over the past five years. Considering the breadth of students entering these schools, this is impressive! We are proud of our students and their accomplishments, and we recognize that our program, although not entirely responsible, did indeed have a hand in their success.
